Hello friends, today I am going to show you how to unlock, Root and Install TWRP Recovery on Redmi Note 4. All you have to do is just follow the given tutorial step by step and you will be all done.

Also it supports 4G VoLTE, so you can easily use Jio Sim on Redmi Note 4 as well. The Redmi Note 4 Comes in 3 Variant and 3 Colors, the colors are: Gold, Dark Grey and Matt Black where the Configuration Variants are 2GB/32GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB Variant, the phone is exclusively available through Flipkart and mi.com on Flash Sale.

Before Rooting your Redmi Note 4, you need to unlock your Redmi Note 4 bootloader. So, follow the given tips to unlock Redmi Note 4 Bootloader.

How to Unlock Redmi Note 4 Bootloader

Requisites:

• Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 phone
• Download Mi Flash Unlock Tool
• PC Suite for Redmi Note 4
• USB cable

Part 1 –  Request the permission to unlock on MIUI Unlock

Step 1. Visit MIUI Unlock website.

Step 2. Click on Unlock now.

Step 3. Apply for Unlocking permission.

Step 4. Fill the required form.

Now once you completed above mentioned steps you just need to wait for MIUI Team to send you an SMS confirming you can now unlock your device. It can take from 2-7 days.

Now after obtaining permission move to second step.

Part 2 –  Unlock Bootloader using MiFlashUnlock

Step 1. Now open MiFlashUnlock on your Windows desktop running at least Windows 7 and connected to internet.

Step 2. Read the disclaimer carefully and  Click on Agree.

Step 3. Turn off your device and press and hold Volume Down Button and Power Key to reboot in Fastboot mode.

Step 4. In MiFlashUnlock interface login to Mi Account used in first step.

Step 5. Sign in and click on Unlock button on bottom.

Step 6. Wait for it to get pass 100%.

Troubleshooting: It may get stuck at 50% and this can happen for most of you. Reboot your phone and repeat the given process.

How to Root Redmi Note 4 and Install TWRP Recovery

Warning:

• Rooting may void Redmi Note 4 warranty.
• Follow all the given steps correctly otherwise you may end up with a bricked phone. We are not responsible for any damage to your phone. Proceed at your own risk.

Preparation:

• A windows PC.
• ADB Fastboot Tool
• Battery must be at least 60% charged to avoid unnecessary power off during the rooting process.
• Backup Phone Apps, Contacts and all data.
• Enable developer option – You can enable it by going to Go To Settings -> About Phone -> Tap On “Build Number” 7 Times To Enable Developer Options.
• Enable USB Debugging – Go To Your Settings -> Developer Options -> Tick The “USB Debugging” Checkbox .
• Enable OEM Unlock – Go To Your Settings -> Developer Options -> Tick The“OEM Unlock” Check box

Follow the Given Steps Carefully to Root and Install TWRP recovery On Redmi Note 4

Step 1. Download the ADB Fastboot Tool and extract it.

Step 2. Download SuperSu zip file and store it on your Redmi Note 4 internal memory.

Step 3. Download TWRP Recovery file on your PC and move it to ADB folder.

Step 4. Connect the Phone using USB cable and click on “cmd-here” file from ADB folder. Run the below command to check if everything is setup well. It will return code with connected devices.

adb devices

Step 5. Reboot Redmi Note 4 in to Fastboot Mode by giving the following Command

adb reboot bootloader

Step 6. Now give the final command to Flash TWRP Recovery Image file.

fastboot flash recovery TWRP recovery.img

Step 7. Now boot your Redmi Note 4 in TWRP recovery mode by giving a following command.

fastboot boot recovery.img

Step 8. Once the device boot in TWRP recovery mode, select preferred language and set it what you want. Just swipe to allow and save modifications.

Step 9. Now from TWRP Recovery main menu, choose “Install Zip” and locate the downloaded “SuperSu.Zip” file.

Step 10. Swipe and start flashing SuperSu on your device. Once the process is completed, tap on clear cache/dalvik and choose reboot and your device boot in normal mode.

Step 11. Download the Root Checker app from Play store and check if it is successfully Rooted or Not.
