Pros of Rooting Your Android Device
Rooting has got many pros with it, few of them I am going to describe you in this tutorial:
1. Removing Pre-installed Unwanted Apps:
Rooting your device allows you to remove all those unwanted apps which you are never going to use and those are just taking your device’s space and memory.
For example: If you are using a File Manager like ES File Explorer or Astro File Manager then you do not need the default File Manager, pre installed in your phone. In non-rooted phone, you can not remove those essential apps.
But in rooted phone once you have verified that it is safe to remove the particular app, you can remove such apps using Titanium Backup or such similar tools.

2. Boost Your Phone’s Speed:
Of course, your phone won’t be hanging any more as earlier after boosting. Boosting is even more powerful when your device is rooted.
There are many apps in the android market, which you can use to boost your device by hibernating apps which are not in use currently. You can hibernate apps like Whatsapp also at the work time.

4. Block Annoying Ads in Apps:
Though it might not be good to block ads as a point of view of app developers, but if an app is showing so much advertisement, you can disable those Ads using adblocker apps or you can choose to edit the apk file also.
For editing an apk file, you need to know basics about android apps.
5. Backup Your Apps:
In non rooted phones you might backup some apps and data, but in rooted device you can use tools like Titanium Backup to backup all the system apps and data in very few time.
This may be very helpful while changing your device or reinstalling OS due to some reasons.
6. Flash A Custom ROM/Kernel:
Flashing a custom ROM or Kernel may be very geeky thing, but this is one of the features of rooting that I love most. Kernel lets your apps connect with hardware and perform in a particular way.
By changing kernel you can get some desired features, which are not available in your device by default.

Talking about custom ROM, it allows to change your OS. You don’t have to wait for the new upgrades and particular OS features.
You can install a custom OS (made for your device model exclusively) and have more awesome features and run phone like a pro.
7. Install Incompatible Apps:
As you can flash custom ROM and Kernel in an android device, you will be able to use few incompatible apps for your device as you have all updated configurations required for the app installation.
8. Automate Your Device:
Apps like Tasker allow you to automate your device. This app works without rooting your phone as well but rooting permissions will make this app more useful as it will be able to automate many more features which are not possible in non-rooted device.
Few tasks like screen auto turn on or GPS or 3G-4G toggling will require rooting. I will go through it in upcoming articles for sure. This will be a very helpful tool for people with busy schedules.

Cons of Rooting Your Android Device
After so many pros, very few cons:
1. No More Warranty:
If you have bought a new phone and it is under warranty period, rooting will cause you lose of warranty. So, after rooting its your responsibility to take care of your own device.
2. Vulnerable to Hackers/Viruses:
As rooting removes many restrictions from your device, it makes it easy for hackers to insert RATs & Keyloggers into your android device. Also it becomes more likely to get viruses.
3. Your Device May Get Bricked:
Your device is more likely to get either soft bricked or hard bricked, and it is of no use till repaired. So be ready for such issues, if you are going to root your device for the first time. I guess, you are daring enough. Aren’t you?
